Our hemp oil contains dozens of natural cannabinoids capable of interacting beneficially with the human body’s endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system, or ECS for short, is a network of cells spread throughout our bodies to which cannabinoid compounds found in hemp oil can bind. These cannabinoid receptor cells are especially concentrated in tissues of the nervous and immune systems. Our bodies actually produce their own cannabinoid signaling molecules which fit into the ECS receptors like a lock-and-key. Ingestion of activated hemp oil upregulates the activity of these important chemical messengers, thereby increasing activation of the CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors spread through our bodies. Research has shown that the ECS is involved to some degree in numerous bodily processes affecting our metabolism, immune response, pain modulation and even mood! Taken on the whole, our ECS plays a critical role in maintaining homeostasis throughout our bodies by helping various organ systems adjust to both external and internal stressors.
Saint Bibiana & Company makes no claims regarding the use of their products for the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of any disease or medical condition. We suggest that our customers take the time to do further research into how our hemp-based nutritional supplements may be integrated into their individual wellness regimen.
What is Industrial Hemp and how does it differ from Marijuana? Why is Cannadiol™ made from Industrial Hemp?
From the standpoint of scientifc classification, both industrial hemp and marijuana are the same species of flowering herb known as Cannabis sativa. However, years of selective breeding by humans have resulted in a wide array of cannabis species variants which differ in plant morphology and chemical content. The term “marijuana” almost always refers to Cannabis sativa (or the sub-species Cannabis indica) which is bred to maximize flower-density and THC content. Cannabis grown as industrial hemp is selected for its long, fibrous stalks and oil-rich seeds which are used to produce textiles, food products and a wide range of other material goods. Unlike marijuana, industrial hemp is naturally low in THC but retains high levels of other non-psychoactive cannabinoids, flavonoids and heart-healthy oils. This distinction makes industrial hemp the ideal source for nutrient-rich hemp oil products which are both high in quality and legal to possess and consume.
The hempseed oils found at your neighborhood health-food store are produced via the mechanical process of cold-press extraction. Like all plant-based oils, hempseed oil is an exceptionally healthy source of dietary fat and does contain measurable (although very low) levels of cannabinoids. However, this process of hemp-oil production does not maximize the naturally high cannabinoid levels found in the stalks and stems of industrial hemp.
Cannadiol™ cannabinoid-rich hemp oil products are extracted from industrial hemp using CO2 under high pressure. This method is incredibly efficient at extracting the cannabinoids and essential oils from the source plant matter without denaturing them or imparting any toxic solvent residue. The resulting extract is further refined, standardized for cannabinoid content and tested for purity. The end result is a hemp-oil product with unmatched quality and cannabidiol density. This premium quality is reflected in the price points of rich hemp oil products such as Cannadiol™.
Saint Bibiana & Company is committed to the mission of providing its customers with premium grade cannabinoid-rich hemp oil products at the lowest possible prices. We keep our prices low by minimizing advertisement costs and intelligently streamlining our operations. We do NOT cut corners when it comes to the quality and safety our products. Our prices reflect our commitment to our current and future customers; that we may provide them with an affordable opportunity to experience the benefits of hemp oil supplementation.
No. Our products contain only non-psychoactive cannabinoids. The primary psychotropic chemical in marijuana which alters human perception is THC. Cannadiol™ is derived from industrial hemp and contains less than 1% THC. As such, our products will not produce the qualitative effects commonly referred to as a “high” which is often associated with the consumption of products derived from marijuana.
Unfortunately, there are too many variables involved to be certain whether ingestion of our products will trigger a positive test result. The vast majority of drug screenings currently test for metabolites of THC. Our cannabinoid-rich hemp oil products are independently-verified to contain less than 1% THC, but even this small amount may be enough to trigger a positive result in some instances. The period, frequency and intensity of dosing prior to a drug screening will determine the level of THC metabolites present in a blood, hair, urine or oral swab sample. This is further complicated by the variance in metabolic capacity that exists between individuals; some of us just naturally clear THC out of our bodies faster than others. Furthermore, detection cut-off levels vary depending on the type of analysis that is performed. The more expensive sample analysis techniques are incredibly sensitive to the presence of THC metabolites. We recommend that our customers discontinue the use of our products for as long as possible before undergoing a drug screening in order to have the best chance of passing.
Yes. Samples from every batch of Cannadiol products are sent to a third-party laboratory (SC Labs) for potency testing, chemical residue screening, and microbe screening (we also regularly audit screen various batches to ensure the absence of pesticides). Our products are not made available to consumers unless our samples pass all these safety and quality screenings, and every batch is lab tested at SC Labs, and all results are available HERE.
